- TYPE 1 - RESERVED, FACTUAL, ANALYTICAL, & ORGANIZED
-
- Type 1 individuals are reserved and tend to work best in indoor
- work setting not requiring face-to-face interaction with large
- numbers of people. They can work for extended periods of time on
- projects and maintain good concentration. Numerous interruptions
- can be annoying because it breaks their concentration and attention
- to detail. They do not make hasty decisions and find satisfaction
- in understanding the idea and purpose behind the job they are
- doing. They may find it difficult to remember names and faces but
- have good memory for detail and facts. They sometimes find it
- easier to express themselves in writing rather than verbalizing
- their feelings. They are very dependable and have sound judgment.
-
- On the job, Type 1 individuals are precise, thorough, hard working
- and patient with details. They usually reach their conclusions in
- an orderly step-by-step manner. They prefer an established time
- frame for accomplishing tasks and work best with standardized
- procedures rather than creating new ones.
-
- When working with fellow employees, they tend to be firm-minded and
- analytical. They can function efficiently in a non-harmonious
- environment and can reprimand or fire people when necessary.
-
- They do not show much emotion and may hurt people's feelings
- without intending to. When being supervised, their primary concern
- is that they are being treated fairly.
-
- The Type 1 individuals like to complete projects on time and may
- become irritated if their present project must be interrupted for a
- more urgent one. However, they experience much personal
- satisfaction when a job is completed or they reach a satisfactory
- conclusion regarding a person, situation or thing.
